Running the numbers

While Steve did his homework last night, I worked on a debt snowball calculator to see how long it will take us to be debt free. I played about with different payment amounts and found that we can be completely debt free by June 2010 without having to change our lifestyle. That is awesome!

We are going to look at the budget and see what we can do without with move that number up even sooner. I'm getting pretty excited! Once we dump this debt we can be wealth building machines. Now, if I could only find a way to lose weight this fast.............

I'm almost old

Well, I turned 29 a couple weeks ago and watching a little more of my youth leave every day.  When I first got married I had many goals I wanted to achieve before I turned thirty.  Here are a few of them:

1)       Have 2 kids

2)       Steve finish college and be established in a career

3)       Be out of debt

4)       Get down to my ideal weight and be smokin’ hot

5)       Own a home

I guess I’m not doing too bad.  Steve loves his job and is working on school….if we get “Giselle Intense” on our debt, we can be debt free in about a year….and we did buy a home but sold it.  I still have one more year.  I think I’ll come up with some new goals for the next year then come up with a plan to actually make them happen.

Please post some of your New Year’s Resolutions or your five year plan for the rest of us to mock….I mean…..enjoy.
